The Fontenot Foundation was founded in 2010 in memory of my father, Terry Fontenot. My dad was a beloved father, grandfather, and neighbor. Terry was a community staple, always volunteering with youth athletic programs and helping his neighbors whenever possible. Sadly, Terry passed away at the age of 54 of Thyroid Cancer. The foundation strives to carry on the way Terry would; helping others, looking out for children, and supporting educational and athletic opportunities. Our upcoming projects include a STEAM Club at a rural middle school, a scholarship for a high school graduate with a parent who is incarcerated or absent, and tutoring services for children with intellectual different-abilities. We try to tailor our programs and services to those children who have a more challenging hill to climb.
The Terry J. Fontenot Memorial Foundation is 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing scholarship support for children, students, and educators seeking to further their education and/or in need of financial assistance. The Fontenot Foundation collaborates with schools, area programs, and local businesses to support the needs of the community. We build strong, educated communities through the advancement of our future leaders.
