Using the Power of Transportation to Save Animals' Lives Every Day!
START Rescue knows the power of transportation! For the past 11 years, we have used this power to save over 16,180 adoptable pets by conducting large-scale rescue-transport missions in our custom retrofitted bus and van (affectionately named "The Beast" and "Baby Beast") from "high-kill" shelters to our vetted rescue partners and adopters in the Pacific Northwest. We save the lives of approximately 1,500 adoptable pets per year!
It costs about $75 to buy a seat for a furry friend and save a life!
START conducts large-scale rescue/transport missions saving pets from overflowing "high-kill" shelters, coordinates critical spay/neuter efforts in underserved areas, funds pet retention and pet pantry programs and rescues pets from neglect, abuse, and/or abandonment. START has been named "2023 Top-Rated" by GreatNonprofits, and was awarded Guidestar's "Platinum Seal of Transparency".
START Animal Rescue is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2023 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
