For over 35 years, Make-A-Wish Central New York has been granting life-changing wishes for critically ill children. Currently there are nearly 160 kids waiting for the hope and joy of their own unique wish. When a wish comes true it creates strength, hope and transformation in a child - and a community. The mission of Make-A-Wish Central New York is to grant wishes for critically ill children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years of age throughout our 15-county region. Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Wishes are the driving force behind all we do because, put simply, wish experiences transform lives. They deliver a level of hope and joy that is unique to each child, impacting their families, schools, communities and beyond. We grant life-changing wishes for children facing an unimaginable journey, compelling us to exceed the expectations of every wish kid, make our donated resources go as far as possible, and engage volunteers, individuals and corporations who will forever be changed by this experience. Our vision is to grant the wish of every eligible child.
