ITNLV delivers approximately 300 rides per month. 85% or our riders are female who without our ride service would be stuck at home.

ITNLehighValley's mission is to provide community-based, community supported, economically viable and consumer-oriented, quality transportation for seniors and visually impaired adults. ITNLehighValley's service standards include door through door, arm through arm transportation service in private automobiles to people aged 60 years and older and visually impaired adults 18 and older. Riders may ride alone or with others and there is no limit on ride purpose within the designated service area of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton PA and the surrounding suburbs. Trained and vetted volunteer and paid drivers using their own vehicles provide the rides. Riders must be able to self-transfer from a wheelchair to the car. Companions accompanying riders ride at no extra charge.

ITNLehighValley became operational on October 15, 2013 and to date has delivered over 52,000 rides.

The core goals of ITNLehighValley are to:

• Improve the overall quality of life for seniors in the Lehigh Valley;

• Enable elders to safely and securely age in place;

• Relieve the burden of transportation on family, friends and caregivers;

• Provide peace of mind for family members knowing their loved ones have local affordable and reliable transportation

• Ensure seniors remain vital and active contributors to our community;

• Make the Lehigh Valley a safer and more desirable place to live for all ages
