The lack of decent affordable homes for hard-working, low-income families is a crisis throughout America. As a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in good standing, we are addressing the shortfall of safe, decent homes through construction and rehabilitation. With your help, more safe and affordable homes for economically disadvantaged families will become a reality.

This is accomplished by two independent, yet complementary initiatives:Building safe, decent, and affordable homes that empower low-income families to achieve their dream of homeownership with a mortgage payment that is less than 30% of their total monthly income.Making essential home repairs and providing ADA accessibility for income-constrained seniors, disabled, and/or Veteran homeowners to keep low-income homeowners Warm, Safe, and Dry in their homes at no cost to the homeowner.Since 1988, Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads has assisted 245 low-income families to realize their dreams of homeownership. Since 2021, 100 income-constrained homeowners have received critical home repair assistance enabling them to remain in their homes and preserving their human dignity. We will be able to serve more families with your support. Every dollar raised during the Giveathon will go directly to our mission of building new homes and preserving current homes. None of the funds raised will go to overhead costs.
