Learn. Dream. Live. run
Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
At Girls on the Run Northeast Florida, teaching critical life skills is the cornerstone of our research-based programs. Meeting in small teams over a 10-week period, trained volunteer coaches inspire girls of all abilities to strengthen confidence and other important life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and physical activity. The Girls on the Run program culminates in a Celebratory 5K that is not focused on speed but rather the girl and her effort of perseverance!
Girls on the Run infuses our Core Values throughout our program which are to:
+ Recognize our power and responsibility to be intentional in our decision making.
+ Embrace our differences and find strength in our connectedness.
+ Express joy, optimism and gratitude through our words, thoughts and actions.
+ Nurture our physical, emotional and spiritual health.
+ Lead with an open heart and assume positive intent.
+ Stand up for ourselves and others.
Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida serves approximately 2,300 girls annually throughout the following twelve counties:
