earlier.org - Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test® is the nation's only nonprofit breast cancer organization focused solely on identifying an earlier detection test for breast cancer. Our mission is to identify a test that will detect breast cancer at its earliest stages. After our founder - Martha Kaley's - breast cancer was discovered by an accidental scratch from her (aptly named) chocolate lab, Sherlock, she set out to lay the foundation and fund research that would focus on this one mission. Since our inception in 1995, earlier.org has awarded nearly $4.8 million to fund seed grants at prestigious institutions across the United States and around the world.
