Established in honor of John Andretti to pay for colonoscopies for those that cannot afford it, and raise awareness for the importance of screening in the early detection of colon cancer.
Our Foundation was established in honor of race car driver John Andretti who died at the age of 55 from colon cancer. When John was battling this horrible disease he started an awareness campaign to raise awareness of the importance of colorectal screenings in the early detection of colorectal cancer. His family decided to take this initiative one step further and start the CheckIt4Andretti Foundation to carry on John's legacy of giving back. The CheckIt4Andretti Foundation continues to raise awareness through events and social media channels. In addition, the foundation pays for colonoscopies for those unable to afford one.
The CheckIt4Andretti Charitable Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to save lives by increasing awareness of the importance of screenings in the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer, and by providing funding to high risk, low income patients who are uninsured, underinsured, or too young for insurance to cover the cost of screening.
CheckIt4Andretti Charitable Foundation Inc is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2023 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
