As the 2000 NASCAR Cup Series Champion and a NASCAR Hall of Famer, Bobby's inspiration for the Bobby Labonte Foundation was derived from the passion his fans have shown him, and the dedication and support he has received from so many throughout his racing career. Bobby started the Foundation in 2003 with the goal of opening doors and reducing barriers to opportunities for children, and encouraging them to dream big and realize their true potential.
The Bobby Labonte Foundation's approach is to help build stronger foundations for children's success through supporting initiates that address literacy and education, food insecurity, mentorship, and open doors to experiences designed to inspire children. Since 2003, the Bobby Labonte Foundation has generously donated all proceeds from fundraisers and events totaling nearly $1 million to various non-profit organizations throughout the Triad of North Carolina.
