Basket of Hope started with the family of a little girl named Christina. At the age of 6 she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on her spine. After a difficult time of treatment with chemo and radiation, a lot of prayer, and the work of amazing physicians; Christina was healed. Basket of Hope was born out of that difficult situation. Her family began delivering baskets to families going through similar situations. The program grew beyond cancer patients and began including the Neo natal ICU, heart patients, and all other serious illnesses. The program spread through the NFL thanks to the help of Kurt Warner, Tony Dungy, Lorenzo Alexander, and many more. The program recently expanded to include NASCAR! In November, 2022 volunteers gathered at the Phoenix Raceway during the Cup Championship Race Week to assemble hundreds of gift baskets and hope totes which were delivered to hospitalized children and their parents with the help of the NASCAR drivers. During Super Bowl week in February, 2023, over 200 volunteers helped to assemble hundreds of gift baskets and totes once again at Phoenix Raceway! NASCAR great, Kyle Larson, joined the event; giving a tour of Phoenix Raceway and sharing stories of his racing adventures! In February 2024, over 200 volunteers filled hundreds of Basket of Hope gifts for families with seriously ill children at Las Vegas Motor Speedway! We look forward to continuing to work with NASCAR in bring hope to families of children with serious illnesses in hospitals across the nation!

Providing hope through the giving of a Basket of Hope filled with age appropriate games, toys, crafts and educational items to children suffering from serious illnesses along with a Basket of Hope Tote to their parents with items to nourish them physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Gifts are personally delivered to hospitalized children by caring volunteers as well as local heroes such as NASCAR drivers and staff; NFL players and coaches; and others!
