Heroes United To Heal Foundation Inc

Heroes United to Heal was founded by a female Navy Veteran who is also a Retired Law Enforcement Officer. What started out as a way to heal from her traumas through journaling, she was encouraged to publish her story with the goal of encouraging others experiencing similar struggles. The positive response that came from sharing her story inspired her to start a nonprofit charity so she could help others find the help they needed. As it turns out, there is no "ONE WAY" that helps everyone, so when founding Heroes United to Heal Foundation, the goal was to introduce fellow heroes to as many resources as necessary so they could discover what works best for them. Resources that are tailored specifically for Veterans and First Responders. In recent years, Heroes United to Heal has rescued five German Shepherd Dogs and assisted with rehabilitation and training, and all five dogs have been given to Veterans and First responders as PTSD service dogs. In 2024 Heroes United to Heal was able to provide a Veteran/First Responder with funding to cover a year's worth of Equine Therapy.

Now in 2025 we are thrilled to be sending Veterans and First Responders on two suicide prevention retreats in the peaceful mountains of Montana where they will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of therapeutic activities with the goal of finding what works best for them. In addition, we will send them home with information on where to connect with similar resources in their area.

Heroes United to Heal Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is operated by a team of veterans and first responders who each have a personal connection to our mission. We are an all volunteer organization, meaning 100% of the donations we receive go directly towards supporting our Heroes. We are proud to share that no member of our organization receives any compensation, as we all believe in helping as many heroes as possible with every dollar donated.

Heroes United to Heal is dedicated to ending “Hero Suicide”. Tragically, suicide is the leading cause of death in both our veteran and first responder communities. We plan to put an end to this epidemic by educating veterans, first responders, leaderships, families and the public about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Injury (PTSD/I) and erasing the stigma attached to it. Funds raised will be used to accomplish this goal by funding various resources proven to be effective but are not covered by the VA or many health insurance carriers.
