OUR STORY
Thank you for your interest in The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.
The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 1 in 6 people will be affected by infertility, which is defined as a disease of the male and female reproductive systems and can affect men, women or both. Just think, if infertility impacts 1 in 6, that means 1 out of every 6 of your family members or friends will be affected. Perspective changes everything.
The WHO reports that "Despite the magnitude of the issue, solutions for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infertility - including assisted reproductive technology such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) - remain underfunded and inaccessible to many due to high costs, social stigma and limited availability."
If you have ever questioned the importance of fundraising and support for people affected by infertility, the article continued:
"Millions of people face catastrophic healthcare costs after seeking treatment for infertility, making this a major equity issue and all too often, a medical poverty trap for those affected" (Dr. Pascale Allotey, Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research at WHO).
Like 1 in 6 couples, Samantha and Kyle know the immense struggle of infertility firsthand. When they began their journey nearly 10 years ago, they could have never anticipated the adversity that would lay ahead. Together, they navigated the unfamiliar terrain of twists and turns and ups and downs.
As as they continued to encounter roadblocks, the journey oftentimes felt hopeless. Heartache and grief flooded their path. The tolls were many and the currency was steep – failed pregnancy tests, IVF, failed cycles, miscarriages, and failed surrogacy – however, their journey led them to their greater purpose. Brexton and Lennix exceed every destination they could have ever imagined.
While they were prepared to stay the course no matter the cost, they have found that many people don’t have the financial resources to sustain such a detour. Inspired by their journey and their own IVF baby, they established The Bundle of Joy Fund – dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people facing infertility.
The work we do would not be possible without the generosity of partners like you. Will you help us change the trajectory for people facing infertility? The high cost of treatment should never stand in the way of loving people becoming parents, and together we can award more grants to more people that will require IVF to start or grow their family.
OUR MISSION
The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund exists to eliminate financial barriers that prevent access to Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) by awarding grants to people who will require In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to start or grow their families. The Bundle of Joy Fund is dedicated to advancing access to care and coverage, increasing awareness, and providing support so others don’t have to navigate infertility alone.
Since its inception in 2015, The Bundle of Joy Fund has exceeded 1.5 million dollars of grants awarded and has welcomed 93 babies to 116 grant recipients with more on the way.
The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2024 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
