Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue

Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue (RMFBR) is a foster-based rescue dedicated to saving Frenchies. While we work with all French bulldogs in need of a home, our focus is on those with special medical needs (e.g., paralyzed dogs). RMFBR is the only rescue in the US attempting to take-in, rehabilitate, fully vet, and rehome French bulldogs with severe medical issues. We work with rescues and shelters around the country in order to save these special needs dogs from euthanasia, and work directly with mills to rescue dogs that have aged out of their breeding programs. Since our founding in 2014, RMFBR has assisted in the rescue of over 300 dogs. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a facility but rather all of our dogs are fostered in loving volunteer homes until rehabilitated. Each dog is loved as a family member until we find the best fit for their forever home.

RMFBR is also a huge proponent in local education. Having worked with hoarding situations in Denver, RMFBR has instigated public education services at Denver Animal Shelter, has published educational material for shelters to distribute, and attends regular events around the state with a booth in order to educate on responsible French bulldog ownership.

Without compassionate shelters and rescues, the preponderance of surrendered Frenchies would not have access to the medical care they need and without opportunities to find homes they will likely be euthanized.
