Rescue, rehabilitate and adopts dogs and cats into homes
We reflect on all the special lives we saved this year thanks to the generous donations of kind supporters like you!
To continue saving animals, we once again need your help!
Meet Oatchi, a true fighter with a heart of gold. At just one year old, this English Bulldog has already endured more pain and suffering than most will ever know. Born into the harsh reality of a puppy mill, Oatchi's life began with a series of severe birth defects that would break anyone's spirit.
But Oatchi is no ordinary pup. Despite his physical challenges - deformed legs, a curved femur, uneven tibias, misplaced joints, and scoliosis - he refuses to let his disabilities define him. In his short time with us, he's shown an indomitable spirit, proving time and again that he's not just handicapped, but truly handicapable.
Yet, Oatchi's journey is far from over. His daily life is a battle against pain and discomfort, with the odds stacked against him at every turn. But with your help, we can give him the fighting chance he deserves. The road ahead is long and filled with countless vet visits, physical therapy sessions, X-rays, and medications. But every dollar donated brings us one step closer to ensuring Oatchi lives a life of comfort, dignity, and joy.
Your contribution will not only ease Oatchi's pain but also show the world the incredible resilience and worth of a dog who refuses to be defined by his disabilities. Together, we can give Oatchi and the chance to thrive and prove that love truly knows no bounds.
Alli came to Pets Alive as a pregnant stray in February of 2022. And although she was a young and inexperienced mama, she raised 4 beautiful kittens while in our care. She was adopted just before Christmas, wish made our hearts so happy! Once in her new home, she became fast friends with her new 7 year old human sister. But just 3 short months later, Alli began struggling to eat. Her new family took her to the vet and discovered she had stomatitis, an inflammatory mouth disease. Rather than treat her illness, the family returned her to the shelter, separating her from her best friend.
Alli was really upset to be back at the shelter and would barely even lift her head when touched. Not only was she in physical pain, but we could also tell she really missed her human family. We had her assessed by a local vet and she confirmed the diagnosis. Poor Alli had almost all of her teeth removed and she then began her long healing journey. Once fully recovered, Alli went back up for adoption. A kind woman read Alli's heartbreaking story and decided she wanted to offer her a true forever home! She is now living her best life with her new mom and 2 doggy siblings!
Please, open your heart and donate today to help Alli and Oatchi continue to live a happy and pain free lives.
