Helping give animals a NEW LIFE
New Life Cat Rescue is a foster based 501c3 cat rescue group based in the DFW area in Midlothian, Texas. All of our cats live in indoor foster homes. We are not a shelter and do not have a brick and mortar facility. New Life Cat Rescue not only fosters kittens, we also take in emergency cases, pulls cats from other shelters, and TNRs feral cats. New Life fully vets and fixes all cats before they are adopted.
New Life Cat Rescue is dedicated to helping cats in need in Ellis County. We are a very small foster based rescue but this kitten season, we have around 100 kittens in our care, plus several medical cases, and other adult cats. This kitten season seems to have started early and is not stopping. We have taken in over 20 bottle feeding kittens. These babies require extra time, attention, formula, and love to help them grow.
We have had several medical cases this year as well.
Pip came to the rescue and required surgery to remove both of his eyes. He is a very happy, playful kitten now!
Louisa was pulled from a local shelter and required surgery to remove one of her eyes. The way she runs around and plays, you would never know she is missing one eye!
Artie was found outside paralyzed in his back end. His New Life foster worked with him and brought him to special therapy sessions and now Artie runs and plays in his new home. He is like a brand new kitty!!
Sweet little Squirtle was saved from someone who was going to through him off a bridge. He was brought to New Life in rough shape, with serious eye issues, But, he was such a sweet loving kitty that we took care of him and he had to have an eye removed as well. Squirtle is now spoiled and loved and doing amazing with his new family!!
Sweet, baby Ollie was found in a flowerbed after a storm. Our amazing foster bottle feed Ollie and his sister. But, Ollie became sick very quickly and needed emergency surgery for a urinary blockage. Ollie had surgery but needed extra care for several months. We are happy to say that Ollie is doing great now and in a new loving home!
Tyler is a street cat that had an enormous open wound on his neck. He was left like that on the streets for a few weeks. New Life was notified and got him to an emergency vet and they closed the wound. He is still in our care as he recovers. But, he is a very sweet and living kitty!
Patches is a stray cat that was attacked by a dog. She is just a year old and her leg was broken and needed to be amputated. New Life's amazing foster is taking care of her while she recovers.
Romeo is still in our care. His first surgery was to fix a hernia. If that wasn't bad enough, this poor guy has a broken femur! He is currently waiting for his next surgery for his broken femur. Romeo is such a sweet and loving boy!
These are just a few of our recent medical cases.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats in need, providing them with the love, care, and support they deserve. We are dedicated to reducing the number of homeless and abandoned cats in our community through adoption, spaying and neutering, and education. Our goal is to create a world where every cat has a safe and loving forever home.
