Increasing the Quality of Life of the Severely Profound and Disabled Residents of Mount St. Joseph
Mount St. Joseph Association (MTSTJA) is made up of hundreds of families and community members that are dedicated to working together to promote the health and well being of the residents of Mount St. Joseph in practical ways. MTSTJA supports the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence with a common purpose to enable the residents to reach their full potential. The Mount St. Joseph Association supports Mount St. Joseph with a goal to raise funds annually to make vital purchases that address the medical, safety, and security needs of the residents.
The vital purchases made to increase the quality of life of the residents of Mount St. Joseph include, but are not limited to, handicapped-equipped vans, therapy bathing systems, electronic lifts, wheelchairs, sensory stimulation equipment, defibrillators, computers for medical records, dental equipment, programming to increase quality of life, building improvements, and transportation for any off-campus needs. Without this necessary support, the residents of Mount St. Joseph would not be able to live a successful day to day life. The women who live at Mount St. Joseph range in age from 24 years to 94 years. The resident population is composed of all four intellectual disability categories: profound, severe, moderate, and mild. Physical disabilities range from severe to minor. As an intermediate care facility with 24-hour nursing and direct care staff, Mount St. Joseph meets the needs of all in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your support is necessary to continue to grow our impact for the residents of Mount St. Joseph. Without the dollars of dedicated donors like you, our residents would not be able to have the highest quality of life, live in a well established home, and be cared for by the Daughters of St. Mary of Providence.
Mount St. Joseph Association’s mission is to care for the residents and day clients in three main ways:
- To raise funds for critical needs that are beyond the scope of the Mount St. Joseph operating budget
- To plan and fund year-round activities, outings, and events for residents
- To reward and honor staff who provide dedicated care
Mt St Joseph Association is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2024 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
