Columbus Early Learning Centers

Since 1887, Columbus Early Learning Centers (CELC) has been a cornerstone of our community, empowering children, supporting families, and strengthening neighborhoods.

At CELC, we believe that every child—regardless of their background—deserves access to high-quality early education and care. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help young learners grow, families succeed, and neighborhoods thrive.

With six nurturing centers across the city and our innovative ParentChild+ home-visiting program, we serve children from six weeks to five years old through developmentally rich, play-based learning. Our classrooms are led by passionate, highly qualified early childhood educators who focus on school readiness, social-emotional growth, and a lifelong love of learning.

CELC supports the whole child and the whole family. While parents work or pursue education, their children are cared for in environments that prioritize wellness, curiosity, and creativity. Health screenings, onsite food pantries, and wraparound services ensure families have the support they need.
