Making life better for the entire family going through the childhood cancer journey.
Amy Jo & Jim Osborn founded the Austin Hatcher Foundation in 2006 when their first born son, Austin Hatcher, lost his battle with cancer at 2 months of age. They turned their pain into purpose, with the goal of helping other children and families who are faced with a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
The Austin Hatcher Foundation addresses the unmet need of mental health and well-being for the entire family at the onset of pediatric cancer and throughout survivorship of the whole family. The Foundation’s Education Advancement Center is the region's only psychosocial center, offering evidence-based mental health services and supportive care to not only children affected by childhood cancer, but their parents and siblings too. All programs/services are provided at NO cost and insurance is not collected, fulfilling the disparities of healthcare for families who cannot afford these types of invaluable services. AHF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded through grant writing, special events, corporate partners and supporters.
Since 2006, the Austin Hatcher Foundation has provided comprehensive coordinated care to more than 90,000 children in 23 states and 42 children’s hospitals. In 2023, AHF provided over 1,587 clinical appointments, totaling over $4.7M in valued services.
The experience of childhood cancer goes beyond diagnosis and affects every family member differently. The Austin Hatcher Foundation is here to help erase the effects of pediatric cancer, for the entire family at completely no cost.
During and after treatment, AHF is here to provide comprehensive coordinated care and unique solutions through every step of a family’s recovery journey. Services provide children and families with the tools to cope in the present and thrive in the future after childhood cancer.
Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer is a Charity participating in the NASCAR Day Giveathon 2024 a Giving Day event, presented by The NASCAR Foundation.
